John Page is a 2014 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends East Chapel Hill. Large frame with a strong, mature build. Ran a 7.40 60 yard dash. Athletic actions with good footwork around the bag at first base. Good arm strength on throws across the diamond. Glove plays well. Right handed pitcher who throws from an over the top arm slot and shows the ability to get downhill. Works from a balanced delivery with strong lower half. Fastball topped out at 78 mph and shows occasional arm side run. Flashes curveball that shows 11/5 shape and change up which he keeps low in the zone and has good fade to arm side. Right handed batter who works from a slightly open, crouched stance and wide base with high hand set. Has bat speed and strength in swing and gets barrel through the zone well. Creates backspin and shows good power potential. Excellent student.
