Normando Valentin is a 2012 RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Vega Baja, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy. Nice athletic build, good strength, looks taller than listed. Slow paced tall delivery, cross body release, high arm circle, arm works cleanly, low effort release. Steady 82-84 mph fastball, mostly straight and to the middle of the plate, shows some depth and tight spin on 11/5 curveball, tends to slow body/arm on change up. Mixes it up and has an idea how to pitch. Cross body delivery does not help him, could work down better getting on line. No doubt there is more in his arm. Good student.

Valentin has a medium athletic build, 3/4 arm slot, pitches in the low 80's topping at 84, fastball showed good tail when release was out front, good balance, curveball has nice 11/5 spin with big break, repeats delivery well, he is a good student.
