Shaun Herbert is a 2012 RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Vernon, FL who attends Vernon HS. Long and lean athlete. Long extended arm circle with high elbow load, shows ball in back, stays tall in delivery, works downhill at times from high 3/4's slot, inconsistent release point. Primary fastball pitcher, Mid 80's fastball tops out at 87 mph, mostly straight, tries to throw to spots. Slurve type breaking ball, guides it in for strikes, didn't throw change up. Projects more velocity but still growing into coordination and mechanics. Good chance to improve. Good student. Signed with College of Charleston.
