Shane Gonzales is a 2012 3B/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Great Oak HS. Solid athletic build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, quiet simple hitting approach, keeps hands tight and short to the ball, has hand strength, creates some bat speed, ball jumps off the barrel, can drive the RCF gap but can turn on balls as well, good hitting tools/skills. Good hands defensively, long arm action with some arm strength, charges well, showed first step quickness. Also pitched, drifting delivery with some effort at release, quick arm, fastball to 85 mph, excellent fastball life, hard and late bore/sink, change up had same type of late life, didn't throw breaking ball. Can pitch at next level with his late life. Very good student.
