Austin Moore is a 2012 C/RHP with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Mountain View Marana HS. Strong well proportioned build, looks the part. Very good raw arm strength receiving, over the top release, accurate throws, can balance better receiving, has the ability to play third base as well. Right handed hitter, spread no stride approach, upper half rotational swing, pulls the ball and gets good extension, line drive plane, can improve lower 1/2 use for more power. Also pitched, fastball to 84 mph, sound delivery mechanics, throws downhill, good balance and direction, some feel for change up, 2 plane break on curveball, has the potential to improve on the mound. Well rounded young player with some tools and strength.

Austin Moore is a 2012 RHP/C with a 6-1 204 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Mountain View Marana HS. Solid square shouldered build, good strength. Good raw arm strength behind the plate, compact arm action, 2.13 best pop, needs to quicken footwork to lower times, durable catcher's body. Right handed hitter, very spread stance, no weight shift, looks to pull and lift, gets arms extended, upper cut swing, flashes strength in swing. Also pitched, slow paced delivery, high 3/4's release point, repeats delivery well and throws strikes. Fastball to 82 mph, have seen 84 recently, cut fastball is very effective pitch, gets ground balls, turns over fastball for change up, big curveball, good shape and spin, solid mix of pitches and good command/feel. Grades out higher as a pitcher.
