Tyler Thorne is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Coronado HS. Nice pitcher's build, sloped shoulders, room to get stronger. Hand raise delivery, drifts towards the plate, cross body release, arm has to rush to catch up. Mid 80's fastball topped out at 85 mph, mostly straight, occasional sink when down. Change best secondary pitch, good arm speed with late life, should throw more often. Tips curveball with shortened arm circle, early rolling break. Throws strikes and pitches aggressively. Needs to learn to stay back in delivery, would provide immediate benefit to all pitches. Excellent student.
