Kellen Yoder is a 2012 RHP/IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Iowa City, IA who attends Iowa City West. Medium build athlete with strength. Pitches from 3/4 slot with good arm action and simple mechanics. Fastball sat consistently in low 80s, up to 84 with sink. Overthrows at times but has good command when online and balanced. Changeup has good sinking action and 11/5 curveball at 76 has depth. Good infielder with raw tools. Fields cleanly and has good feel for position with short arm action and good arm strength. Good contact skills at the plate with a short swing and direct path to the ball. Projects for more pop in future. Very good student.
