Trevor Steele is a 2011 LHP/1B with a 6-2 173 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends Boyd HS. Slender build, long arms and legs, developing strength. Standard leg raise delivery, opens and collapses front side early on release, high 3/4's release point, tries to spot and keep fastball low in the zone, lack of front side limits ability to get over curveball on release. Also plays first base, clean defensive actions. Big load hitting, line drive swing, squares up well, mostly pull contact, will benefit from more strength. Good student.
