Garrett Anderson is a 2013 MIF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Puyallup, WA who attends Emerald Ridge. Anderson is a young player with a compact and very athletic frame. Plays the game with a lot of energy and a maturity not often seen in players at this age. Really carries himself well on the field and lets his play do the talking. Moves very well on the infield with a quick first step and anticipates well off the bat. Shows proper technique and good arm strength going to his backhand with a quick transfer and release. Advanced defensive skills. Contact approach at the plate and looks to put the ball in play and run. Short swing and hands go straight to the ball. He's a gamer and good follow. Very good student.
