Derek Jones is a 2012 OF/3B with a 6-1 158 lb. frame from Brampton, ON who attends St. Marguerite d'Youville. Tall, athletic build with projection. Clean OF actions, loose arm, short arm action with good accuracy, showed good arm strength as well. Wide base at plate, rotational swing, quick hands, with a fluid bat through the zone. Barreled up balls. Would benefit from better use of lower half, and additional strength.
