Thompson is an "04" OF/C who can hit. At 6'2/205 he is strong. He showed a playable accurate outfield arm and some running ability. He's a big but agile outfielder with typical over the top arm action. His #1 tool is the bat. He uses his strength efficiently with a quiet stationary approach. He has a nice swing that generates very good bat speed with the wood. He smoked several long line drives to the gaps in Wareham. Ryan can definitely hit at the next level.
