Ky Dye is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 5-9 142 lb. frame from Everett, WA who attends Cascade. Small athletic build, young prospect with high upside. Live arm! Long loose arm action, high 3/4 arm slot. Smooth online delivery, stays tall in backside of delivery, throws downhill with low effort. Fastball up to 88 with good riding life, pounds the strike zone. 11-5 curveball with good depth at 70, pitch shows good potential. Also mixed in a 74 mph changeup that projects as a solid #3 offering. At the plate Dye showed a short swing path and has some offensive potential but would be very difficult to match the upside he displays on the mound. High ceiling 2014 prospect that needs to be followed closely over the next few years.
