Ryan Glover is a 2008 RHP/1B with a 6'4'', 200 lb. frame from Winston-Salem, NC who attends North Davidson HS. He has a long, well proportioned build with good strength potential. Glover has a very complicated delivery with lots of moving parts that is way too complicated. He starts his delivery with a full back turn and a long, extended arm takeaway in back. He leans back, then kicks his leg way out front before jumping at the plate. Little of any of this does much but put him off balance and his top priority has to be to simplify things. Glover topped out at 81 mph in the first inning but dropped to the mid 70's in the second inning. His breaking ball varied between 63 and 69 mph and it didn't really look like he was throwing a CB and SL, it was just the inconsistency of his delivery. His change up was pretty good. Glover showed some pitching knowledge, he change speeds well and tried to hit spots but his delivery kept him from doing that consistently. He has some ability that hasn't reached the surface yet.
