Ryan Ely is a 6'3"/170, (2007), LHP from Huntsville, AL. Showed 73fb and 61cb. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with ave hs arm speed. He has a very good pitchers frame and a awkward release. He shows good armside run on fb and ave hs command. He ihas a herky jerky type delivery which does add to deception. He has sharp break on his cb. He keeps fb velocity below hitting speed and gives hitter fits with good depth on cb. He is a LH hitter with gap to gap power. Was very good in bp even though he tends to bar out at his set up. Lifts the ball and shows good hand strength. In the OF he showed ave hs arm strength with 72of arm velocity.
