Braxton Wilks is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Episcopal HS. Lean, young athletic build, room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, deep hand load, loose fluid swing, load creates some length, line drive swing plane, solid line drive contact, handles the barrel well, should keep improving with additional strength. 7.09 runner, long extended arm action, showed good instincts and made strong, accurate game throws. Also pitched, sound delivery mechanics, 3/4's arm slot. Mid 80's fastball topped at 85 mph, good arm side running action, best pitch is his curveball, very good velocity and hard spin, sharp bite, throws strikes with his curveball. Showed good mound presence and competed, might have a better future on the mound, projects well. Outstanding student, signed with Kansas State.

Medium athletic build, young look. basic leg raise delivery, stays on line, high 3/4's release, tends to pull off to 3B on release and leave FB up. Fastball topped at 78 mph, good sink when low, showed good spin on both curveball and slider, both pitches sharp, likes to come inside, maintained velocity well, rare change up, should keep improving. 7.13 runner, athletic outfield actions, sound fundamentals, accurate arm with carry. Good hitter's base, loose quick hands, stays balanced, simple short swing, bat speed will come with more strength, plus fundamentals. Nice 2-way prospect. Good student.
