Mike Vinson is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Christopher Columbus HS. Long lean pitcher's build, lots of room to add strength. Slow paced low hand delivery, extended high 3/4's arm slot, throws under control. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 91 mph, mostly straight. Mid-70's curveball with short slider type break, flashes bite and depth, throws curveball for strikes but threw far too many, some feel for a straight change up. Lacked deception this outing, good strong arm to work with, will have to tighten up breaking ball. Very good student.
