Jared Barnes is a 2014 C/SS/RHP with a 6-1 162 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends North Florida Christian HS. Lean athletic build, room to fill. Fluid swing, takes hands directly to the baseball, loose actions. Ball carries well off the bat, good bat speed, solid in-game approach, projects for power, high level hitter. Arm projects, wasted motion in catch & throw skills lengthens release time, tools for improved pop time. Quick feet defensively behind the plate and in the infield. Pitched as well, simple mechanics, projectable arm, loose arm action, throws strikes. Excellent student.
