Mitchell Bauer is a 2012 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Maple Grove, MN who attends Maple Grove HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Simple leg raise delivery, good pace, compact arm action, 3/4's slot, ball comes out clean and easy. Lower 80's fastball, topped at 84 mph, good sink and bore, comes inside aggressively with fastball, good fastball command. Tends to overstride/dip on off speed pitches, flashes good curveball spin, tried to mix it up, needs to stay tall on secondary pitches. Has an idea how to pitch, should keep improving. Shows some bat speed offensively, pull approach, open front shoulder, short quiet load, strength in his swing, comfortable hitting against velocity, feel for the barrel, solid hitting tools. Good student.
