Gouthman is a junior right handed pitcher from Florida with good present strength on his 5-10 frame, especially in his lower half. He threw three innings in Fort Myers, pitching between 76 and 78 mph on his fastball and throwing a 63-67 mph curveball. Gouthman has a short arm stroke in back and a standard ¾’s release point. He had nice life and running action on his fastball but struggled with his control occasionally. Gouthman is a very good student.
