Ben Gollaher is a 2007 OF/P with a 5'11'', 160 lb. frame from Draper, UT, who attends Jordan HS. Lean, athletic player with good projection. Gollaher has good speed in the sixty (6.87) and plays the game with speed and quickness. Defensively he moves well in the outfield showing good range and he has solid arm strength. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance with a quiet approach in the box. Gollaher has good bat speed and throws the bat head well. He has a sound swing making consistent contact with projectable power. Battled off some good inside pitches showing hand quickness and hand strength. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a deceptive delivery. He has a balanced delivery staying under control. Gollaher gets arm side run on his fastball that topped out at 75 mph, and worked down in the zone. He also mixes in a 69 mph curveball with good spin. He worked ahead of the hitters showing good control of both pitches.
