Hudson Bird is a 2011 RHP/2B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Colleyville, TX who attends The Colony HS. Athletic look, some present strength. Long 2 piece arm action, very good extension out front, gets downhill well. Fastball to 83 mph, spots FB well to outside corner, throws both slider and curveball, SL tends to be flat, good 11/5 shape on curveball. Tools as an infielder, good arm strength, soft hands and good exchange/release, profiles at 3B. Open stance, doesn't get hips closed hitting, has good bat speed, simple quick swing, battles well, solid contact to all fields. Solid all around player. Good student.
