Robbie Haughton is a 5'10" 170 pound 2006 left handed pitcher from Grennbrae, California who attends Marin Catholic High School. He has a compact mature body with good strength. Robbie is a durable lefty that topped out at 79 mph with his fastball that has natural tailing action to it. He throws from a low 3/4 arm slot and is wildly effective. His curveball was his out pitch at 62 mph. He has a very good feel for his curveball with good tight rotation to it. It is a very tough pitch on left handed hitters especially. Haughton showed a good feel for his 69 mph changeup as well being able to throw it for strikes at any time. He has good mound presence and has the ability to pitch. He was aggressive in the zone with all three pitches while showing some good deception with his herky jerky mechanics. Robbie could be very effective at the next level and is a solid prospect.
