Valdes has a long lean projectable build, mid 3/4 arm slot, good down plane on fastball with some cutting action, good command of change up and curveball, change up shows good sink and arm side run while curveball has 12/6 spin, hits from a square stance, good hands, short quick swing, good extension, solid swing to ball, defensively, long loose arm, good carry, soft hands, he is also an excellent student.
