Nick Simmons is a 2008 C/1B that attends Killian HS and resides Miami, FL with a 5'9", 170 lb. frame. Nick has an athletic build with good overall athletic ability. At the plate Nick hits from an open stance with solid bat speed and strength in his swing. Nick has nice power potential at the plate and really just needs to simplify his approach. There is a little too much movement before he hits the ball. Behind the plate Nick has clean actions and is a good receiver. He blocks the ball well and showed off an accurate arm. Nick looked very comfortable handling pitchers. Nick is a good student that should attract the attention of many smaller colleges.
