2006 National Underclass Showcase
Nick Main is a 2008 C with a 6'2'', 160 lb. frame from Deltona FL, who attends Deland HS. He has a young, slender body that projects well. Main was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. Main has very good arm strength and had a best pop time of 1.95 in drills and 2.11 in games with accuracy. He blocked the ball well and has quick feet and good agility. Offensively, Main has nice bat speed from an aggressive line drive swing. He shows some pull side power potential that should continue to develop as he gets stronger and showed the ability to hit the ball hard the opposite way as well. He does tend to pull off the ball hard on occasion. Main has skills on both sides of the ball that should continue to develop. He is also a very good student.
