Nick Cox is a 2007 OF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Lake Mary FL, who attends Bishop Moore HS. He has a live, lean athletic body with good overall body life. Cox ran the 60 in 6.91 and threw 82 mph during outfield drills. He has strong outfield tools, with speed and arm strength and a hustling attitude that he showed in drills and in the games. He looks like he can play centerfield at the college level. Offensively, Cox hits out of a wide, balanced stance and takes an aggressive swing at the ball. He has quick hands and has nice bat speed. Cox showed he could turn on balls aggressively and crushed a couple of balls to the left side during games. Cox had just enough lift and extension in his swing that would make you think that he could develop some loft power in the future. He has good hitting skills and a sound approach and should continue to improve as he gets stronger. Cox's approach to the game is a positive, he's aggressive and hustles and plays to win. He is also an excellent student.

Nick Cox is a 2007 OF from Bishop Moore HS in Lake Mary, FL, with a 5'11", 170 lb. frame. Nick Cox has an athletic body, and had one of the best workouts of the entire showcase. He shows a smooth swing at the plate with good extenstion and the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He has good present strength and should only improve at the plate. In the outfield Nick shows good range with a quick release and good footwork on his throws. Nick had a great showcase, and will attract the attention of the highest-level college programs.

Cox is a 5-10, 165 lb junior outfielder from Florida who looks bigger and stronger than his listed size. He ran well in the 60 at 7.14 and threw 79 mph during outfield drills with a long arm action. Cox showed good range and a very accurate arm during the games. As a hitter, Cox hits from a sound approach with good balance and loading action. He likes to get his hands extended through the ball and shows some power on balls away from him. He has some bat speed and loft power potential and is projectable for getting stronger. Cox will have to learn to adjust to the pitches on the inside half in the future. He’s a good follow for a 2007 player who should keep improving. Cox is an excellent student with early interest in Ivy League type schools.
