2004 South Top Prospect Showcase
Nick Cmerek is a 2005 outfielder from Austin, TX, with a medium lean build. His best tools are on offense. He hits out of a wide stance with a bit of a crouch and has a flat, line drive type of swing with some good bat speed. Cmerek made consistent line drive contact in both batting practice and in games, picking up a couple of game hits and doing a good job of hitting the ball where it was pitched. Defensively he profiles best as a corner outfielder. He showed good first step quickness that produced better home to first times than his 60 time might suggest. He runs well and his arm plays. Nick is an outstanding student, as well.
