Dalton Brown is a 2011 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Haltom, TX who attends Haltom HS. Athletic build, has some present strength. Leg raise delivery, accelerates to the plate, high 3/4's release, tends to pull off the plate on release. Low 80's fastball, touched 84 mph, mostly straight. Good slider spin at 73 mph, also cuts FB at 77 mph, nice slot and arm speed on change up, potential to keep improving on the mound. Good defensive actions both in OF and at 1B, shows athleticism. Right handed hitter, long stride, open approach, has some bat speed, solid contact, shows power potential but will also hit the ball hard to the opposite field. Nice all around player. Good student.
