O'Malley is an "04" INF with tools. At 6'0/165 he is lean and athletic with lots of room for additional strength. He runs very well, 6.8 on a slow track. He has a nice arm that probably projects best at 2B at the highest levels. He has very good hands and feet. He made a couple of outstanding plays showing off his fielding and athletic ability. He can play defense! He showed a nice swing from both sides of the plate. He will hit with metal right now, but might need to get stronger to show his best with the wood. If he gets in the right program, he might develop into a pretty good draft pick out of college. Mike can play the game.

Good infielder, nice actions and just enough arm. Runs close to average and shows an opposite field approach at the plate. Spray hitter who flashes some pop. Needs to get stronger and will.
