Colton Freeman is a 2012 OF/LHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Spain Park HS. Physical athletic build, very good present strength. 6.69 runner, outstanding defensive actions, clean and quick to the ball, low, on line accurate throws with plus arm strength. Left handed hitter, spread stance, some effort in his swing, pulls head off but has toned the effort down over the last year, generates very good bat speed, finds the barrel, ball jumps hard on contact, very aggressive approach. Also pitches, rotational delivery, lacks ideal arm extension but has a very quick arm, mid 3/4's release, fastball to 91 mph with flat arm side run, big sweeping curveball, overall arm strength is impressive. Effort a concern but has all the tools and plays to win. Good student, verbal commitment to Alabama.

Colton Freeman is a 2012 OF/LHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Spain Park HS. Freeman is an athletic and strong player with good tools and legit two-way potential. Moves well to the ball in the outfield and gets a good read off the bat. Smooth actions to the ball and has big time arm strength. Ball is very good out of his hand with serious carry to and through the bag. Strong, live look in the box with a spread, straightaway stance and generates very good bat speed. Ball really jumps off of his bat, but lacks balance at times. Works from a low 3/4 arm slot on the mound, medium arm action, ball has good life to it. Can overpower with fastball and knows it, ball jumps out of hand. Also shows a 1-7 curveball that is still developing but will end up being a very nice compliment to his dominant fastball. Good student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
