Aaron Thomassen is a 2011 RHP/OF with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends Nathan Hale. Thomassen has a physical build, strength is evident in his shoulders, which are broad and sloped, also narrow in the waist, he looks the part. Quick first step on the outfield, can cover ground, arm strength also plays well here, he gathers up and gets his body into his throws which show good carry. Hits from a wide base, and his swing showed well in games, the ball exits hard off the barrel, and he centers up consistently. On the mound he showed the same long loose arm action we saw from the outfield, he throws with average effort, and has more velocity in him, he hides the ball well with his low hand position, and has good tempo to go with his balanced delivery, CB breaks 10-4 and is a developing pitch that shows promise. Very good student.
