Austin Stone is a 2011 RHP/SS with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Port Neches, TX who attends Port Neches Groves HS. Lean slender build, room to add strength. Busy leg raise delivery, high leg kick, high 3/4's release point, loose fast arm, good downhill angle. Primary fastball pitcher, upper 80's velocity, topped at 89 mph, threw FB's to corners, plus command potential, will cut fastball at times, very effective pitch to RHH'ers. Soft curveball with big break keeps hitters off balance, didn't see change up. Will have to tighten up curveball at next level. Good athlete, has infield skills, third base tools, line drive swing with big weight shift, good hitting rhythm, bat speed will improve with more strength.
