Lean athletic build, long arms and legs. 6.97 runner, very good defensive actions both in the infield and outfield. Plus outfield fundamentals, very accurate arm with on line carry. Moves through the ball well in the infield, soft hands, easy relaxed actions, lots of arm strength, looks like a third baseman but can play shortstop. Right handed hitter, very open stance, moves through contact, long swing with some lift, has bat speed, low effort swing, stays balanced and squares it up, likes the ball middle in, projects very well with the bat with additional strength. Smooth right handed swing, moves in to contact well, good hands at the ball, gets the barrel into the hitting zone, projects power with more strength. 6.89 runner, easy athletic actions defensively, moves through the ball, third base hips and length, soft hands, strong arm and accurate, quick release. May be a future third baseman but will be plus defensively and projects with the bat. Keeps improving and has all the actions, just waiting for the strength to fully kick in. Reynaldo Ordonez Jr is a 2012 MIF/OF, RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends American. Strong athletic build. Showed very well on defense from outfield and infield. Very good arm strength with smooth easy actions in OF. From SS displayed the same strong arm with athleticism and strong, sure hands. Big power at plate. Keeps weight back and coils body to load. Lots of strength in smooth, easy swing that produces very good bat speed and big HR power. Covers plate and shows ability to hit to all fields with pop, though most comfortable staying back and pulling the ball. High level prospect to follow. Showed arm strength on mound. Balanced delivery with good mechanics. Arm comes thru clean. Developing feel for curveball and changeup that showed some fade.
