Jacob Padilla is a 2012 RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Montclair, CA who attends Chino Hills HS. Athletic build with some present strength, especially in the upper half. Cross body delivery, front side and foot closed at release, limited lower 1/2 use, extended 3/4's arm slot. Mid 70's fastball, topped at 75 mph, good arm side running action at times. Soft curveball thrown for strikes, changes release on change up. Can improve with delivery adjustments. Power best present tool, strength in his swing, rock back load, hits thru the ball, wants to get his hands extended, has some lift in his swing, good aggressiveness, hits the ball to all fields. Solid defensive actions at third base, quick release, some carry to throws, accurate hard, soft hands. Grades out higher as primary 3B than primary RHP this outing. Good student.
