Dominique Lemus is a 2012 C/RHP/OF with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Escondido, CA who attends San Pasqual HS. Strong athletic build with room to get stronger. Grades out higher as a pitcher and outfielder than as a catcher. Simple rotational delivery on the mound, good leverage against his front side, arm works smoothly. Fastball to 88 mph, mostly straight with occasional sink/run, nice change up thrown with confidence, keeps FB/Chg low in the zone, curveball needs further developing. Very strong and accurate outfield arm, loose athletic actions at the ball. Shows raw arm strength catching, 1.98 best pop, sets up high, much lower release angle than when in OF or pitching. Fielding grade represents OF grade. Right handed hitter, negative stride from spread stance, hits going backwards, long swing, mid field contact. Best future is on the mound.
