Matt Holliman is a 2006 MIF with a 6'1'', 195 lb. frame from Germantown, TN, who attends Germantown High School. Presently strong body, good speed in the sixty (6.92), good hands defensively, very quick bat, aggressive swing, ball jumps off bat when centered, can drive the gaps, has big time power on the right pitch, middle of the order run producer, hands work well at the plate. Matt Holliman is a 2006 MIF with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Germantown, TN, who attends Germantown HS. It was a treat watching Holliman hit. He stayed and hit both days and we got to see him have several at bats. Bottom line, he can flat out hit. Holliman is a great hitter with strength and power in his swing. He is an aggressive hitter and attacks pitches in the strike zone, but he stays balanced with great leverage at the point of contact. Holliman has plus bat speed with a short and compact swing, and he gets a great weight shift. The adjustability he has with his hands will allow him to hit for a high average as well as with power at the next level. Holliman is a high level hitter who has signed with the University of Mississippi, but professional scouts should be taking in several of his games this spring. He is a hitter with great upside.
