Michael Otair is a 2012 3B/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Villa Park HS. Solid athletic build, good strength with more to come. Right handed hitter, simple swing approach, stays short to the ball, good bat speed and hand strength, pulls the ball hard, line drive swing plane, gap type power. Has arm strength at third base, throws carry, athletic enough to make the diving play, can quicken release. Also pitched, tall delivery, throws downhill, some effort on release, arm works well, repeats and throws strikes with three pitches. Fastball to 83 mph, occasional sink and run, slurve type breaking ball that flashes depth and bite, some feel for a change up. Good balance of tools and performs on the field. Good student.

Michael Otair is a 2012 3B/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Villa Park HS. Well proportioned athletic build, has some strength with room to add more. Right handed hitter, good swing mechanics, moves through contact, swings hard and creates bat speed, line drive plane with gap power, ball comes off the barrel hard, looks for fastballs he can drive, consistent hard contact, nice hitting tools and approach. Arm strength to play third, accurate throws, must work on quickness/range or will end up at first base. Also pitched, slow paced leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, fastball to 84 mph, mostly straight, didn't throw off-speed. Bat plays! Good student.
