Mark Gormley is a 2007 left handed pitcher/first baseman from Noble and Greenough HS in Milton, Massachusetts, with a solid 6'0"/190 pound frame. Mark was named to the Top Prospect Team. On the mound, he pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with loose arm action and very good arm speed. He has an effortless delivery and he gets good leverage on the hill. Gormley moves his fastball in and out well and has good life with a natural cut at 83 mph. He throws a short breaking curveball at 68 mph and has good arm speed on his 76 mph changeup. As a right handed hitter, Mark hits from an upright stance with a short stride. He has a relaxed and smooth swing with good power potential. Gormley is a good student.
