2003 Sunshine West Showcase
Just a sophomore, Cohen is a young third baseman with a good left-handed bat. He needs to improve his foot-speed and arm strength but his bat looked like a good one with potential. He didn’t show lots of power or bat-speed in BP but more of a line drive hitter with a quiet swing. In the games he turned it up and produced hits. He put the ball in play and had no trouble hitting a good fastball. He also showed good hands defensively and played well in the field. As he matures and gets stronger he should be able to improve every major aspect of his game. Good student.
