Andrew Wilkinson is a 2009 outfielder/first baseman from Lakeside, California with a very strong build at 6'1", 200 pounds. He has great size and is not even a freshman yet. Wilkinson hits from a narrow stance with good balance and a late hand load. He showed very good bat speed and control for his age, and he can go the opposite way with hard line drive ability. He has very good power potential with room to add even more strength to his big frame. He competed very well against kids that were 2-3 years older than him. He has very good arm strength from the outfield at 78 mph from a compact arm action. He ran a 7.43 in the 60 and that will definitely improve a great deal as he matures. Wilkinson could have a great future and we have a lot of years to watch him grow. Andrew is a good student.
