Jose Lopez is a 2003 first baseman/right handed pitcher from Ponce PR with a big body at 6 ft. 4 210 pounds. He hits from an open stance and has a long swing with a big upper cut. He tries to lift every ball. He has a long stride and slightly pulls off with a tendency to swing around the ball. He has a huge frame and could potentially hit for big time power. Defensively, He is a bit stiff with heavy footwork. He is a big target at 1st base, and he has a decent glove. With cleaner mechanics at the plate he could potentially be a big time power hitting first baseman.
