Kuripla impressed us with his bat speed, approach at the plate and overall offensive ability. He has a simple, balanced set up at the plate and is quick to the ball with his hands. Kuripla is the type of hitter who shows no fear at the plate and looks for the ball on the inside half of the plate to drive with authority. It’s a simple, low maintenance type of swing that will enable Kuripla to hit for a high average at the next level. Defensively, Kuripla has enough arm strength to play at any number of positions on the field. He’s a 7.16 runner so he moves pretty well underway. At 6'0/170 he's going to get stronger yet. Jonathan is a good student.
