John Dillon is a 2006 left handed pitcher/first baseman from Oceanside, California with a solid build at 5'11", 180 pounds. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a high leg kick and a clean delivery. He has good mechanics with a long arm action and he throws slightly across his body. He gets decent run on his 75 mph fastball. He has a 1-7 curveball that shows some depth at 59 mph. He has a good feel for his change with fade at 66 mph. He has good command of all 3 pitches and he hits his spots well. He hits from a narrow balanced stance with high hands. He has a level swing plane with a high finish. Dillon is a polished finesse type left handed pitcher with good control and he will have success at the next level. John is an excellent student.
