Jimmy Lynch is a 2006 infielder from Illinois with a slender lean 6'0" body. His best present tool was his arm strength from the infield and from the mound. Lynch’s infield actions were fair, but he’ll need to improve his overall quickness to stay in the middle infield. At the plate, Lynch showed some strength in his hands and some power when he made solid contact. He hits from a no load approach with his weight back and has trouble getting the wood bat started at times. Lynch also threw one inning from the mound and looked pretty good, throwing 78-79 mph with a nice loose arm action and solid mechanics for a primary player. If Lynch doesn’t pitch much right now he might consider trying to pick up more innings because it looked like he had some potential at that position. He's a good player who can contribute at several positions. Jimmy is a good student.
