Jeff Lorick is a 2006 left handed pitcher from Duluth, GA with a medium build at 6-1, 185 lbs. He throws from a high 3/4's release point with a slow, easy delivery and very smooth overall mechanics. Lorick's arm action is very smooth and he gets very good downhill angle on his pitches. Lorick's upper 80's fastball gets good running actions which is helped by the downhill angle. His best pitch is a 74 mph curveball with a big and deep 1/7 break. Lorick's 78 mph change up is a nice pitch, too. Lorick knows how to pitch and has had lots of success at the highest levels of amateur baseball. He is a good student who has signed to go to South Carolina.
