Jason Stoffel is a 2006 RHP from Agoura HS in Agoura Hills, CA, with a 6'2", 195 lb. frame. He placed himself right among the top prep right handed pitchers in the country with his performance at the National. Stoffel has a very sound delivery with very good use of his lower half to get drive and power to the plate. It's a quick tempo delivery and he has the arm speed and smoothness to keep up with it. Stoffel's fastball was 90-93 mph with lots of 93's. He gets good sinking and tailing action on his fastball and is aggressive about throwing inside. Stoffel's curveball is a strikeout pitch, with sharp spin and bite at 76 mph. Aside from his power plus raw stuff, the most impressive thing about Stoffel was his maturity and demeanor on the mound. He works very quickly with a no nonsense approach, throws strikes and keeps the ball low in the strike zone. Not surprisingly, he's also a top notch student off the field. Highest level college/professional prospect.

Jason Stoffel is a 2006 RHP/1B from Agoura HS in Agoura, CA, with a 6'2", 195 lb. frame. Stoffel was named to the top prospect team from this event and was invited to the National Showcase. Stoffel should be a durable pitcher with his wide shoulders, strong lower half, and easy arm action. He has a quick arm and finishes his pitches well. Stoffel throws with a good downward plane to the plate and keeps all of his pitches down. His heavy fastball topped out at 90 with good sink, and it is easy to see he will be a consistent 90s pitcher at the next level. Stoffel attacks hitters with his fastball, but can put them away with his breaking ball with its sharp break. Stoffel is one of the top pitchers in the country and he should be on the radar of every top program in the country. Stoffel also took some swings and showed good bat speed with a line drive path. He has strength in his swing, and showed the ability to use the whole field. He has the potential to be a two way talent at the college level. Stoffel is also an excellent student with a bright future on and off the field.
