Jared Picchiottino is a familiar face, usually as a productive #4 hitter in a line up at a WWBA event. He is extra strong at 6'2", 205 lbs., and generates very good bat speed with the ability to hit the ball out of the park with wood to all fields. He took an excellent batting practice and made some balls disappear out of a pro stadium quickly. Picchiottino is a fastball hitter who likes to get his hands extended and he will get long to the ball like many power hitters. Right now he’ll kill the cripples over the plate. Defensively, Picchiottino has made tremendous improvement in the last couple of months. He made several very solid game plays, showing improved range and footwork and a smooth, accurate arm. We like the effort he’s made in improving his quickness and body life, but in the end it’s going to be his bat and power potential that distinguishes him at the next level. Jared is a very good student.

Picchiottino is a 2005 3B/1B from Newmarket, ON, Can with a 6'2"/205 pound frame. He showed good actions in the infield with a smooth transfer and a quick release. He has a nice arm that topped out at 78 mph with good accuracy. He hit many hard line drives to center and left-center field with a controlled stance and a controlled, aggressive swing with good extension. He showed above average power and the ability to go to the opposite field with consistency. He has a great body, and solid tools which makes him a good college prospect. Jared is a very good student.

Jared Picchiottino is a 6'2", 205 lb. third baseman from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, who can hit. Jared showed solid arm strength in the infield (80 mph). He shows third baseman tools, and patient sure handed transfers. Jared does show good arm strength despite the fact he does not move through his throws at release. With better footwork and more movement towards target at release, we feel he will really add to his arm strength and carry on his throws. Jared is a right handed hitter with a narrow stance and good balance. He has a light rock back load and slight knee lift trigger. Jared's hand strength and bat speed are impressive, and he shows some lift on balls down in the zone and he should have very good raw power. Jared has hit in the middle of the order for a top Canadian select team for the past few years, and has always hit very well in numerous WWBA events we've scouted. He's a good, solid all around player and a very good student.
