Jared Jeffries is a 2006 MIF/OF from SW DeKalb in Lithonia, GA, with a 5'9'', 165 lb. frame. A lean and athletic player with good all-around skills. Jeffries is a player you have to see consistently to truly appreciate. He is just a great baseball player with versatility defensively. He can play the middle infield and outfield showing a quick and strong arm, nice footwork, range, plus body control, and good actions. Jeffries makes quick turns at second base as well. Offensively he is a right handed hitter with good bat speed and makes consistently solid contact. He is a line drive hitter that doesn't try to do too much, but he can still drive the gaps with surprising pop for his size. He is a patient hitter with a good eye who will be a great top of the order hitter at the next level. He is a gamer that any coach would love to have on their team. A must follow.

Jeffries is a 5-9 right handed hitting junior from Georgia. We’ve seen him play extensively in the outfield in the past and this was our first look at him in the middle infield. We like him both as an outfielder and second baseman defensively. His arm plays very well in both positions. Jeffries threw 79 in infield drills and although we’ve never gunned him from the outfield, we’d guess he has around 85 mph arm strength from there. Jeffries infield actions are solid and he has very good range to both sides. Jeffries ran the 60 in 7.27 but has impressed us as a leadoff/base stealing type in the past and feel he has better speed than that under different conditions. He showed advanced base running instincts during the games. Jeffries hits from a wide stance with little stride and does a very good job of using his hands to create bat speed through the ball. He’s a line drive hitter who show some gap to gap power on occasion. Jeffries is a solid college level player either in the infield or the outfield.
