2003 South Underclass Showcase
Munselle is a very strong hitting first baseman. He showed a balanced swing with good bat-speed and a nice approach at the plate. At 6 foot tall and 195 pounds his body is strong and well proportioned with a muscular lower half. He runs OK for a first baseman and his throws were clocked at 78 and 79 mph with good carry. He even showed a nice fastball on the hill at 80-82 mph. He can pitch a little with the makings of a good curve, but his bat was his most interesting tool. He hit with some power and showed fast hands. The ball just came off his bat fast and he hit a few real hard off good pitching in Waco. He has the chance to make an impact with that bat at the next level and needs to be followed closely.
