Runchey is a projectable 6-2, 185 lb. athlete with loose, easy actions, especially with a bat in his hands. He’s very quick and short to the ball with wood and does a very good job of staying inside the ball for his age level. Runchey is going to hit with some power at the next level. Defensively, Runchey is playable at both first base and in the outfield but his 7.77 speed will probably leave he and his bat at first in the future. Jake is an outstanding student.
